Are you ready?

Turn your holiday dreams into dream holidays

Somewhere between “I want to go there” and “packing my suitcase” lies the planning. Here you’ll find answers to all the questions you may have during the planning stage.

When is the best time to visit the Val Pusteria/Pustertal valley?

The answer is quite clear: always. Pfalzen in the Val Pusteria/Pustertal valley is a year-round destination. In summer, the Val Pusteria/Pustertal valley is a sea of green, and the peaks of the Dolomites draw hikers to them like a magnet. In winter, Mt Plan de Corones/Kronplatz is one of South Tyrol’s best ski resorts, and our shuttle will take you straight there. And then there’s the spa, the cosy rooms, the food … everything’s just right, whenever you come.

Which deal is best suited to our holiday?

That depends entirely on who you are. Whether you’re a romantic, a mountaineer, a family, a wellness enthusiast, or a connoisseur, we’ll put together the perfect package for every type of holidaymaker. Why not have a browse through our current offers and see what takes your fancy for your holiday? If you fancy a spontaneous getaway, you’ll find what you’re looking for on the last-minute page.

Which room suits us best?

Waking up to a view of the lake or drifting off to sleep in the utter tranquillity of the garden? Every room at Green Lake Hotel Weiher has its own character. The room overview shows you all the categories, complete with photos and details. If you’re unsure: please get in touch with us. We know every room personally and will find the right one for you.

What’s the best way to get to Pfalzen?

You can get here by car, train, or plane. The Location & directions page provides detailed information on each route. Are you travelling by train? We’ll pick you up at Ehrenburg railway station in the Val Pusteria/Pustertal valley. Are you flying to Bolzano, Innsbruck, or Verona? Transfer services will drop you off right on our doorstep.

What sort of things can we do while we’re there?

More than you can fit into a week. The Dolomites are perfect for wonderful hikes or tours along Alpine via ferrata routes. Between your days on the slopes, you can take a dip in the pool, work up a sweat in the outdoor sauna, or enjoy a soothing shoulder massage at the Pure Nature Spa.

What we’d tell our friends

The best time to visit Lake Braies/Pragser Wildsee is in spring or autumn, as early as possible – then the emerald lake is all yours. Allow a whole day for the Three Peaks, and order a packed lunch from us the evening before. The shuttle to Mt Plan de Corones/Kronplatz runs in the morning; we’ll pick you up again in the afternoon, and in between you can enjoy your day’s skiing. And if you fancy an evening in the wine cellar, it’s best to let us know before you arrive; Andreas will put together a special tasting for you. You’ll also need to book the Wine & Dine event in advance, as places are limited and the evening is legendary.
