The trout and char stocks are plentiful and healthy. Anyone wishing to go fishing can obtain the necessary permit from us and, if required, the appropriate equipment.
… what our name means in German? The word “Weiher” has its roots in the Latin word vivarium. It means “habitat” or “a place for living beings”. In Old High German, this became “wiwari”. We believe that’s perfect. A “Weiher” (pond or lake in English) is a place where life is celebrated – from the nimble trout right through to you. Almost right next door lies our famous aquatic neighbour, Lake Issengo/Issinger Weiher.
It’s one of the last remaining natural swimming lakes in South Tyrol and is a firm favourite
for anyone who loves the gentle feel of cool lake water.
While our own lake belongs to anglers and tranquillity, the neighbouring lake is the setting for
that wonderful summer feeling. A plunge into the mossy green, the buzzing of dragonflies,
and the tingling sensation on your skin: that’s what summer freedom feels like.
